John, my fight to hold Donald Trump accountable for his role in the January 6 insurrection just had a major development: 

An appeals court has just affirmed that Trump is not exempt from the lawsuit I filed with the NAACP against him for inciting the violent January 6 insurrection. And, with this major hurdle removed, I'm now even closer to bringing Donald Trump to justice for his role on that fateful day.

I still remember that day – being told that we had to hit the floor. We were lucky to have made it out safely when we did. This was a dangerous moment, not only for individual members of Congress and the personnel in the Capitol, but for our very democracy as well.

We can never allow this to happen again – and that's why I'm the lead plaintiff in the civil suit against Trump to hold him accountable for inciting the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. 

John, my path to bring Trump to justice is now clear – and I'm running for Senate to take on this GOP extremism and make sure that an attack on our democracy never happens again.
