Congressman Kim had a busy week meeting with students and celebrating infrastructure investments in the district before heading to Washington for votes and committee business. We also closed out Native American Heritage Month this week. While we honor indigenous communities across the country, celebrate their diverse cultures, and history, we must continue our steadfast work to support and uplift Tribal Nations.

Congressman Kim Speaks with Lawrence High School Students

On Monday, Congressman Kim enjoyed a conversation with government and politics students at Lawrence High School. It’s always great to speak with local students about what they are passionate about, how they can participate in our democracy, and talk through questions they have about our government. We know the knowledge from the classroom will help inform their continued engagement in our democracy!

Congressman Kim Joins Project Freedom Inc. to Celebrate Groundbreaking

Early this week, Congressman Kim spoke at Project Freedom Inc.’s groundbreaking for another barrier-free housing complex in our community. Their work across New Jersey helps give neighbors the opportunity to live how they want with accessible and affordable housing.

Congressman Kim is proud to support their work for people with disabilities and help celebrate the groundbreaking today of another impactful, local complex.

Celebrating NJ Groundbreaking for the Hudson Tunnel Project!

On Thursday, Congressman Kim helped celebrate the Hudson Tunnel groundbreaking in New Jersey, saying:

“Nearly every New Jerseyan will benefit from the beginning of work on the Hudson Tunnel Project, and we should be proud to see this progress towards local infrastructure that our state desperately needs. During my first years in Congress, I heard repeatedly about the demand to get this project underway. It’s why I’m proud to have worked alongside my colleagues to make sure we secured the funding to get shovels in the ground and our neighbors to work. I’ll continue to make sure that we protect funding for projects like these moving forward so that we can celebrate more days like today when we make real investments in our state.”

Missing Moves Ramps Open!

In more exciting infrastructure news this week, the “Missing Moves” ramps between I-295 and Route 42 in Bellmawr opened. It is great to see federal funding and the New Jersey Department of Transportation delivering for commuters in our region. These ramps will go a long way in making neighbors' trips safer and less congested!

World AIDS Day

We are committed to ending the global HIV/AIDS epidemic. In New Jersey and across the world, we are focused on expanding testing, access to care, and work to break down dangerous stigma.

Today on World AIDS Day, we pause to remember and honor people we have lost and focus on what more we can do.

Open Enrollment Reminder!

We are committed to ensuring everyone has access to affordable, quality healthcare for themselves and their families.

New Jerseyans can find affordable coverage options for individual and family plans via the Affordable Care Act marketplace Get Covered NJ. Be sure to choose a plan by December 31st for coverage beginning January 1st. The Get Covered NJ open enrollment period ends January 31st. Search through plans online.

Medicare open enrollment goes through December 7th! Head to medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE to look over your current coverage and compare options to make sure you have the plan that’s right for you.

Our next webinar is coming up on December 6th at 1 PM. Congressman Kim, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, and Congressman Pallone are bringing together representatives from national and state agencies to discuss internet accessibility and cyber safety best practices and resources.
