The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) is opening the third cycle of our Rare As One Network Request for Applications (RFA) to lift up the work that patient communities are doing to accelerate research and drive progress against the more than 10,000 rare diseases that affect over 400 million people worldwide.
Through the Rare As One Network Request for Applications (RFA), CZI invites applications for a five-year grant opportunity from nonprofit/charitable patient-led rare disease organizations to strengthen their organizational capacities, develop a collaborative research network, convene their patient and researcher communities and align them along shared research priorities. CZI will create a cohort of these organizations dedicated to accelerating research across three classes of disease: channelopathies, ciliopathies, and inborn errors of metabolism (IEMs).
Selected grantees will be awarded up to $800,000 total costs over a period of five years. Throughout the grant period, CZI will provide grantee organizations with capacity building support, including funding, training, community learning opportunities, and mentorship. Learn more and apply.
We are accepting applications until 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
