Hi John, Today is World AIDS Day. Over the past two decades, incredible progress has been made against HIV/AIDS. In 2004, over 5,000 people were dying from AIDS-related causes every day. Now that number has dropped by nearly 70% and over 29.8 million people living with HIV globally are accessing lifesaving antiretroviral treatment. But we can’t forget that HIV/AIDS is still a crisis. In some places, the epidemic is growing at an alarming pace. We’ve put together a quick quiz to help you get up to speed on the current state of the things. Are you game to try it? We promise we won’t hold your final score against you, this isn’t middle school! Don’t worry if you don’t get them all correct. Take our quiz to learn more about HIV/AIDS. Thank you, Kelli Meyer, ONE.org PS: Want extra credit? Share this with your family and friends. |
