Dear John,

I’m reaching out today because my Finance Director just let me know we didn’t hit our monthly goal for November, and now we’re not on track to meeting our overall goal for 2023.

It’s understandable that grassroots fundraising takes a dip during this time of year. Families were prepping for Thanksgiving, and now we’re all getting ready for the holiday season. Political emails aren’t likely to be top of mind for people right now.

But we can not fall behind, not when a MAGA opponent is in the race and national Republicans continue to try and smear my name with misleading attacks.

That was the news I didn’t want to share, but let us use this as a new opportunity.
