An important update from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington

John,

I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss Donald’s email—sustaining donors really are key to CREW’s ability to continue our fight against corruption, and I hope you’ll consider making a monthly contribution.

CREW’s work can take a long time—in the last few months, we’ve received records from requests we made years ago, sometimes after lengthy court battles. We’ve helped expose how taxpayer spending has been used to prop up the Trump family business, and uncovered the president’s lies about the Secret Service wanting to host the G-7 summit at his Doral resort. But thanks to sustaining supporters, we’re able to continue the fight, for as long as it takes.

Become a sustaining supporter now to support CREW’s anti-corruption work, and on March 23rd, join Donald for a call to learn more about the work ahead.

Thank you,

Noah Bookbinder
Executive Director, CREW

On March 23rd, I’ll be holding a briefing call with our sustaining supporters to answer your questions and discuss what’s to come in the fight against corruption. Become a sustaining supporter today!

John,

Since the start of the Trump administration, CREW has taken more than 600 legal actions. We’ve filed lawsuits and complaints, requested records, tracked conflicts of interest, and repeatedly called out corruption. We’ve had a big impact—and we couldn’t have done any of it without support from our sustaining donors.

Just in the last few months, CREW has obtained records revealing over $80,000 in taxpayer spending on Eric Trump’s business trip to Uruguay and $17,000 on Don Jr’s hunting trip to Malaysia with a major donor, filed complaints about the NRA’s potential violation of tax law and Rudy Giuliani’s apparent crimes related to the Ukraine scandal, and launched an investigation into political interference at the Department of Justice.

These aren’t easy fights. Over the last three years, we’ve been fighting an uphill battle against conflicts of interest, industry influence, and unprecedented corruption. But we’ve been able to keep pace with the Trump administration’s corruption thanks to our sustaining donors.

If you can, please consider supporting CREW as a sustaining supporter by making a contribution each month. Your monthly donation of any amount will have a real impact on our ability to keep up our democracy-defending work.

As a special thank you, I’ll be doing a briefing call with our sustaining supporters on March 23rd. We’ll discuss CREW’s ongoing work, as well as important wins you may have missed, and I’ll answer some of your questions. Become a sustaining supporter today—progress takes time, and your support can help us sustain the fight.

Thank you,

Donald Sherman
Deputy Director, CREW
