Community Center Survey
Residents of Mendota Heights and West Saint Paul have expressed interest in building a joint community center. To determine the financial and operational feasibility of a community center, residents are asked to complete the brief feasibility survey below. The survey will close on Dec. 5 at 11:59 p.m.

District 52B Special Election
Voters in House District 52B (Mendota Heights Precincts 2, 3, 4 and 5) are asked to go to the polls to select a representative who will fill a vacancy in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Nov. 27-Dec. 5 - Early/Absentee Voting Period Vote by mail, drop box or in-person at City Hall.
Dec. 2 - Saturday Voting Hours In-person voting at City Hall; 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Dec. 5 - Election Day Vote at Precincts 2-5;?7 a.m.-8 p.m. Drop early/absentee ballots in City Hall drop box by 8 p.m. No in-person voting at City Hall.

Toys for Teens
The Police Department and the Community Action Partnership (CAP) of Scott, Carver and Dakota County are collecting gifts for tweens and teens ages 10?18 this holiday season. Toys collected will help CAP offer a holiday shopping experience to teens experiencing homelessness and families in need.
New, unwrapped donations can be dropped off at the Police Department (1101 Victoria Curve) through Dec. 15. You can also choose a gift from this convenient?wish list.

Weed of the Month
Siberian Elm is an invasive, non-native tree that grows up to 60 feet tall. It reproduces quickly, especially in disturbed areas, and out-competes native trees by producing many clusters of small, round seeds that are easily spread by wind.

Mayor for a Day Contest
What would our cities look like if kids were in charge? The Mayor for a Day Essay Contest is back to find out!
To enter, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders can answer the prompt, ?What would you do if you were mayor for a day?? for a chance to win $100 and recognition in Minnesota Cities magazine.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 12.

Fix it Clinic

Get items fixed or mended for free and learn useful repair skills at an upcoming Fix-It clinic.
Skilled volunteers help you figure out what's wrong and fix broken items. Clinics build community and reduce the amount of stuff thrown in the trash.
