Landfill tipping fee [ [link removed] ]
Landfill Tipping Fee for Haulers Effective January 1, 2024 [ [link removed] ]
As of January 1, 2024, commercial haulers and businesses that dispose of regular refuse at the landfill can expect a new tipping fee [ [link removed] ]. They will now be charged $40 per ton for landfill usage. The revenue generated from this fee will support continued landfill operations, such as building new cells, burying county-generated waste, capping cells and extending the life of the landfill. Residents can still dispose of their trash, recycling and yard waste without any charges at the Landfill and Compost Facility.

Fentanyl Awareness Campaign Successfully Reaches Teens and Young Adults [ [link removed] ]
The Fentanyl Exposed Campaign, launched by Prince William Community Services earlier this year, proved to be a great success in terms of reaching at-risk youth and young adults and creating awareness about the dangers of fentanyl overdose [ [link removed] ]. The campaign delivered more than six million impressions, helping to make teenagers and young adults more aware of the risks associated with fentanyl and fentanyl-laced substances.
