The numbers are in,results are tallied and drumroll, pleaseā¦
We reached our Giving Tuesday goal!
More than 2,300 donors came together to support game-changing climate solutions and contributed over $280,000! And because every gift was matched three times, that means their show of support collectively raised a total of more than $1.1 million!
It's hard to express in words how grateful we are for your support. Your generosity fuels our work and helps drive key victories that make positive, lasting change for the world around us.
And we know that the best way to show our gratitude is by continuing to make real, lasting progress on the environmental issues that you care about. That's why over the next year, this support will go directly to our 2024 goals of:
# Slashing climate pollution from the transportation sector by accelerating the transition to electric and zero-emission vehicles;
# Employing natureās power as a climate stabilizer by protecting carbon sinks like wetlands, tropical forests and oceans;
# Empowering farmers, fishers and ranchers to deploy climate-smart agricultural practices that help farmers feed the world and save the planet;
# Making certain hydrogen fuels do no harm by preventing leaks and targeting usage to only where clean, renewable energy isnāt enough; and
# Slashing methane pollution from the oil and gas industry with targeted solutions from the pinpoint data collected by MethaneSAT, which launches early next year.
These are lofty goals, but thanks to this outpouring of support, we're prepared to tackle all of these goals ā and more!
