It finally happened. Thanks to your pressure, the House of Representatives expelled George Santos in a 311-114 vote. 

From campaign finance violations to multiple federal charges to lying about everything from his education to his religion, the one thing we can say for certain about Santos is that he was never boring.

But elected officials aren’t meant to entertain—they’re meant to represent the people who elected them and Santos’s shenanigans have left the citizens of New York District 3 high and dry for nearly a year. 

Of course, MAGA members of Congress couldn’t care less about that. They kept Santos around, criminal charges and all, so they could make sure they had enough votes to push their extremist and wildly unpopular agenda forward. 

Your actions put invaluable pressure on the rest of Congress to finally take George Santos to task. Together, we made over 12,000 phone calls and sent over 25,000 emails to our representatives to urge them to finally hold Santos accountable and remove him from his seat in the House. 

We’ve said it before, but it always bears repeating—no one is above the law. We’ll continue to fight against those who mean to subvert our democracy.
