The 33rd District faces many pressing issues: access to good-paying jobs, updating our infrastructure, improving public education, access to the sacred right to vote, and lack of access to affordable quality healthcare. During my time in Congress, I have worked to combat these issues head-on.
Since 2013, I have helped create jobs, expand affordable and accessible health care, bolster our infrastructure in North Texas, protect voting rights, and fought for comprehensive immigration reform.
I serve on the Energy and Commerce and House Armed Services Committees where I have used my positions to deliver critical resources to our state. Given Texas' dominance in the energy and defense sectors, these committees are especially important.
As the co-founder of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus, I fight to protect the right to vote for all Texans and ensure our electoral system is protected against foreign interference.
I worked with my colleagues to get the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act signed into law. These game-changing pieces of legislation are directly improving the lives of the millions of people who call Texas home by creating job growth, updating our infrastructure, lowering health care costs, and bolstering access to affordable internet.
During the pandemic, I helped pass a pandemic relief package that enacted the Emergency Broadband Benefit package, helping lower-income families in Fort Worth and across the country access affordable internet. We built on this mission when I voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that modified the Emergency Broadband Benefit program into a permanent program that has helped more than 21 million households connect to the internet.
I also worked alongside the Biden-Harris Administration to secure $403 million in new funding for Fort Worth's Trinity River Project.
In a split government — like the one we have now — the people of Texas 33 need a leader willing to work across the aisle to get things done, and I have consistently helped advance pivotal legislation that impacts North Texas. When re-elected, I will continue working with my colleagues and the Biden-Harris Administration to deliver tangible results for the 33rd District of Texas.
I hope I can count on your support.
