URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Tell President Biden to PROTECT the San Gabriel Mountains in California! >> Take action now!

What does stepping out into nature after a long day stuffed inside do for you? When I get that breath of fresh air, I’m reinvigorated. It clears my head of all the noise of daily life, and for a moment, I find peace.

Imagine not having access to that comfort -- stuck in a concrete grid of honking cars with pollution-spitting tail pipes. For many communities, green spaces are few and far between.

The San Gabriel Mountains make up 70% of Los Angeles county’s open space. It’s a popular refuge from the bustle of city life, a source of drinking water, and culturally significant to Indigenous people. But large swaths of this critical green space are still UNPROTECTED from developers! Please, Friend, urge President Biden to expand the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument to safeguard public lands!

More than 18 million people live within 90 miles of the San Gabriel Mountains. And the areas surrounding the mountains are largely urban and culturally diverse communities. As a sprawling city, you can walk and walk all day without finding your way out. That’s why spaces like the San Gabriel Mountains are so important.

The proposed monument expansion would encompass more of the Angeles National Forest, which provides one-third of the county’s drinking water! Anywhere with this many people relying on it for a life-sustaining resource like water must be protected. Friend, please protect the San Gabriel Mountains and send your message to President Biden by 11:59pm TONIGHT!
