Well, John... here we are again, just as I predicted.

Today I will be voting for the 3rd time to expel George Santos from office. I think this time it’s actually going to stick. And let me tell you why.

George Santos was lying like a cheap rug way before he stepped foot in Congress. Now he just does it in stolen designer shoes.

I get asked somewhat frequently how I feel about this con artist turned Congressman. And my honest answer is that I genuinely cannot believe he’s been voting on behalf of the United States for a full year. We’ve known for months this guy was a fraud, a liar, and a criminal.

What took so long to throw this guy out?

The answer is: plain old greed. Republicans have been protecting him all year. Not because they like him, but because they will do anything for an extra vote, a little more power.

So what changed this time?

Once the embarrassing details came out in the Ethics Report, Republicans finally saw the electoral consequences of protecting him. Let me tell you, no Republican in a swing seat wants to be asked why they voted to protect the corrupt botox Congressman. Ultimately Republican leadership is sacrificing one vote from Santos to save multiple swing seat Republican votes.

Don’t be fooled - this expulsion has nothing to do with Republican integrity.
