Fellow American,

It probably comes as no surprise to you that the last month has been a blur. Everything transpired so quickly that my own family wasn’t even able to make it to Washington, D.C. to watch me be sworn in as the 56th Speaker of the House.

My team and I – which has grown exponentially in the last month – really have been burning the midnight oil, working around the clock to ensure the people’s House remains OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

In the past month,

I’ve sifted through hundreds of resumes.
Met with the leaders from the Pentagon, the Senate, and the executive branch.
Sat for interviews with Sean Hannity and Larry Kudlow, among others.
Met with the campaign staff at the National Republican Congressional Committee to set finance goals for the upcoming year.

I’ve got to be honest with you – with so many competing priorities, it’s critical to have the best team by my side. I’m working to continue filling positions as fast as possible while fulfilling my duties outside of the Capitol.

You see, aside from my official duties as Speaker, one of my new responsibilities is to be the chief fundraiser for the Republican Party. That means using this platform to raise money every single day of the year, so we have the necessary funds to defend our five-seat majority in next year’s election.

My staff has told me that we’re just short of having raised $2 million online since I was elected Speaker last month. In fact, we have just another $500,000 to raise to hit that mark – and we need to do it before Saturday at 11:59 p.m.

Our ability to raise money from grassroots conservatives like you will send a signal to Democrats that we are ready to help reelect a Republican majority in next year’s midterms.

If we come up short, all bets are off.

I have to get back to interviewing candidates to join my team, but I'll be checking in with my staff frequently over the next few days to see what progress we’ve made toward hitting this critical campaign goal.
