We at the Morris County Democratic Committee are taking the corona virus outbreak very seriously, we find it necessary to cancel large events in order to properly protect the health of the community.

As such, the St. Patrick's Day Parade March in Morristown on March 14th and the Special Nominating Meeting on March 15th have been cancelled. 

The Morristown Parade as a whole has been cancelled and has been tentatively rescheduled for September 19th, 2020.

As far as the Special Nominating Meeting, the Chairman will be awarding the Democratic county line to Senator Cory Booker, Rep. Tom Malinowski, Rep. Mikie Sherrill, and LD-25 State Assembly candidate Darcy Draeger. The LD-25 State Senate race will be conducted via an online voting system, this Sunday as previously scheduled. Please note, if you live in the 25th district and have received prior notice that you are a voting delegate, you will still be voting but only for the State Senate race. Anyone not in the 25th, will not be voting. We are working to finalize the voting method to make it as secure as possible. More details and instructions will be given as soon as possible.

Please note, the Presidential primary will remain open until the June primary.
