I don’t love asking for money, but ever since the Citizens United decision, elections have become more expensive and candidate fundraising has become more vital. As it stands today, this race looks set to be one of the most expensive in the nation. And unlike others in this race, I’m counting on individual donors rather than giant corporations.

Each individual donation sends a message that our community is ready for home-grown, progressive change in Washington. To me, that is much more powerful, and it's why I value your support. I’d appreciate anything you can give to help us meet this goal before November comes to a close.
