Comrades,
In light of recent developments in the coronavirus outbreak, Chattanooga DSA will be engaging in new mutual aid efforts to assist our most vulnerable citizens, starting immediately.
The virus is present in Tennessee and we anticipate lockdown measures being put into place sooner rather than later. Furthermore, health authorities are recommending the elderly, immunocompromised, and other vulnerable populations take voluntary precautionary measures to protect themselves, including avoiding public gatherings and close contact with strangers outside the home.
Our members are committed to mitigating the negative social effects of this outbreak as much as we're capable of. Starting immediately, our members will be offering, as our individual schedules allow, help with personal shopping, errands, and other assistance for vulnerable populations of greater Chattanooga.
If you or someone you love needs help with:
- grocery shopping
- running errands
- understanding their options for online grocery and medicine delivery systems
- financial assistance with medicine, housing, etc.
- caregiving of sick or non-sick people, including yourself
- or any other form of assistance,
please use the form at the link below to sign up and one of our members will get back to you as soon as possible:
