Imagine this:

You are traveling to the United States from some other part of the globe such as Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Great Britain, or Europe…when a travel advisory lights up your phone:

“Travelers to the United States should remain cautious that the country does not adequately protect people’s right to be safe, regardless of who they might be. People in the United States cannot reasonably expect to be free from harm - a guarantee of not being shot is impossible.” 

Well, guess what? That’s exactly the message that Amnesty International sent out today. The advisory says:

By prioritizing gun ownership over basic human rights, the U.S. government is willfully and systematically failing on multiple levels and ignoring its international obligations to protect people’s rights and safety.

Today, you can help change this nonsensical situation in which we find ourselves.

You can make change happen today: Insist your Senators cancel their recess and take action on gun violence now.

Right now, you can demand that your Senators ban the weapons of war used in the horrifying, mass gun murders in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH.
