New Deal for Youth Week of Action

Earlier this month, our Youth team staged the second annual New Deal for Youth Week of Action. This successful event included a grassroots festival, a celebration of the Youth team’s 20th birthday, a teach-in, and IRL and virtual advocacy. The events provided young people with a chance to hone their advocacy skills here in D.C.

CLASP and other leading child care advocates estimate our nation’s already fragile child care sector needs at least $16 billion to maintain the progress achieved with COVID-era child care relief resources and raised the need for an urgent investment. The White House answered the call by sending a request to Congress to include at least $16 billion in additional child care funding.
