Hi John,
The movement to end the Hyde Amendment [[link removed]] has been going strong for almost 50 years, thanks to the tireless work of women of color, bold elected officials in Congress, and a fierce coalition dedicated to removing financial barriers to abortion. Restrictions like Hyde deny insurance coverage of abortion for people enrolled in Medicaid and fall hardest on people working to make ends meet, communities of color, immigrants, and young people.
This week on Samantha Bee’s new podcast, The Defenders, journalist Rebecca Traister shouted out the work of All* Above All [[link removed]] for leading the way on opposing this decades-old policy, a position that was long considered too far flung for the mainstream pro-choice movement and political establishment.

Through our bold, unapologetic advocacy, All* Above All has turned the tide [[link removed]] of public support for insurance coverage of abortion. We’ve worked with officials in Congress, states, and cities across the country to dedicate local funding [[link removed]] for abortion, in places like Atlanta [[link removed]] , New York [[link removed]] , Austin [[link removed]] , and more. And we’re not alone – the election results earlier this month made it clear that when abortion is before voters, it’s consistently a winning issue.

In solidarity,
Morgan Hopkins
