John,

Bad news: The tobacco industry and its army of lobbyists recently met with top White House officials to fight the FDA’s plan to eliminate menthol cigarettes.

We can't let this go unanswered. It’s more critical than ever that the White House hear from you that it must quickly finalize this proposal to protect kids, advance health equity and save lives.

For decades, tobacco companies have targeted kids, Black Americans and other communities with menthol cigarettes, which are easier for kids to start, more addictive, and harder to quit than regular cigarettes. It's time for this to end.

Eliminating menthol cigarettes is projected to save about 654,000 lives, including 255,000 Black lives!

But Big Tobacco is doing whatever it takes to protect their bottom line. That's why we need your help to get this life-saving action across the finish line – by the FDA's promised deadline of the end of this year.

Tell the White House: Don't listen to Big Tobacco's lies! Eliminate menthol cigarettes without delay. >> [[link removed]]

Our online form makes it quick and easy.

Then, level-up your online action by calling the White House's comment line and leaving a message: 202-456-1111.

Thanks for standing with us,

John Bowman
Executive Vice President, U.S. Programs
