Help families in need without harming pregnancy help centers!

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has proposed a new regulation about the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. TANF provides much-needed assistance to families trying to get back on their feet. HHS’s proposal would strengthen TANF in multiple ways. However, this same proposal could also unfairly cut off TANF funds from pregnancy help centers. Bishop Burbidge commended pregnancy centers earlier this month for living the call of radical solidarity with mothers in need.

Please act now on the USCCB alert telling HHS to strengthen TANF without taking away support from the good work of pregnancy help centers! The deadline for public comments is tomorrow, December 1.
