Thank You!
Thank you for supporting our fight to protect Social Security and Medicare!

Dear John,

What a wonderful and amazing thing you’ve done! On behalf of everyone here at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, we want to express our deepest thanks for your extraordinary generosity and loyal support during this season of gratitude.

Our #GivingTuesday campaign was a great success. The critical funds we raised together will help strengthen our work in the immediate weeks and months ahead to fight proposals in Congress aimed at slashing the retirement and health security of millions of older Americans and their families.

As you know, the new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and his GOP extremist allies in Congress are determined to pursue dangerous policies that would weaken our nation’s social safety net programs and hurt retirees, working Americans and people with disabilities.

To ensure your voice is heard in Washington during this uncertain time, the National Committee’s government relations staff and I are meeting with our coalition partners and key lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. We recently testified before the U.S. House Budget Committee about the harm a so-called “debt commission” will do to seniors’ earned benefits. And we’re taking our message to numerous television, print and radio outlets.

Bottom line, the National Committee serves as your voice in Washington, on #GivingTuesday and every day! And your continued support is critical to demonstrating to our elected officials that Americans paid into and earned their benefits — and Congress must keep its hands off Social Security and Medicare!

Thank you again for your support,
