** What is the DCCC?
------------------------------------------------------------
Hi John,

Earlier this month, I announced my candidacy for the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee (DCCC).

Since then, I've been busy. I had the h
onor of attending a dinner with President Biden during APEC. I've engaged with our first responders and cadets, and helped with toy drives for children in the Tenderloin.

But why run for the DCCC? As the SF Chronicle noted in its profile of our candidacy, the DCCC is a "little-known but powerful group" ([link removed]) that can help us scale a significant impact on similar political, legislative, and charitable outcomes in our city.
Your Vote Matters.

The SF DCCC is the governing body of the local Democratic Party. It is composed of 24 elected members, each elected by registered Democrats in San Francisco.

Historically, the role of the DCCC has been to advance, grow, and advocate for a stronger Democratic Party. This is done through 3 primary responsibilities:
1. GOTV: helping get out the vote during election cycles, register new Democrats, and phonebanking to ensure we win Democrat seats nationally.
2. RESOLUTIONS: authoring resolutions in support of key legislation ranging from building more housing, victims rights, and small business - helping build a mandate for changing city outcomes
3. ENDORSEMENTS: endorse candidates running for office in San Francisco, to give them the official Democratic Party endorsement.

These are critical roles, as historically the issues the DCCC decides to support, and the candidates they endorse, have seen a multi-percent bump in votes in San Francisco. In elections decided by hundreds of votes - that is the difference between winning and losing.

So whom you vote for on the DCCC matters.

Unfortunately for the last several years, our current DCCC has become out of touch with everyday San Franciscans. They have consistently put forward positions that have rejected housing, rejected safe streets, and rejected vibrant schools. They have turned the Democratic Party into a party of No.

That's why I'm running as part of the SF Democrats for Change ([link removed]) slate. We're a diverse group of 24 candidates representing workers, families, and communities of color. We are united in our mission to return the DCCC to a party of results. A party of Yes.

This election is critical for our city's future. I hope you'll join us.
