YOU DID IT! 50,000 postcards Are Now in Circulation!
A few short weeks ago we asked you to join us in a "Get-Out-The-Vote Postcard Party" that entailed claiming a box of 200 postcards along with stamps, mailing addresses and pens. You supplied the volunteers and perhaps a pot of coffee or some snacks as you wrote simple messages to encourage other conservative voters to go to the polls on Tuesday, April 7, and vote for Justice Kelly. As you most likely know, conservative Justice Daniel Kelly is running against liberal-supported Judge Jill Karofsky for a critical 10-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Guess what you did? You blew up our phones and website with requests for the Postcard Party boxes, and they were gone in a SNAP! Every single postcard, all 50,000 of them, are now out in circulation and will be in homes across the state in the next few weeks.
Click HERE to watch a personal "thank you" video from WFA president Julaine Appling.
If you missed out on this opportunity to join in on the postcard party fun, no worries! We will be doing this again in the fall and would love it if you'd click HERE to be placed on our volunteer list. We will contact you when the postcards are hot off the press so you, too, can gather your friends and lend a hand as we encourage others to vote in the upcoming fall election. The best part? It doesn't cost you a dime—just a little of your time!

Know Before You Vote!
Marsy's Law Amendment Referendum on Statewide Ballot
On Tuesday, April 7, every ballot will have a referendum regarding the rights of victims of crime, commonly referred to as Marsy's Law. According to the web site for Marsy’s Law for All, the law is named for Marsalee (Marsy) Nicholas, a “beautiful, vibrant University of California Santa Barbara student, who was stalked and killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1983.”
Marsy’s Law would give victims the constitutional right to enforce their rights in the court of law if their rights have been infringed upon during the criminal justice process.
Wisconsin Family Action is not taking an official position in support of or opposed to this referendum. We are simply alerting you that it will be on your ballot and encouraging you to get prepared to vote on it.
Foster Care Feeling Impact of Drug Addiction
Some Wisconsin counties are reporting an increase in the number of children entering foster care over the last year. County officials in places like Jefferson County believe the increase is due at least in part to more cases involving drug addiction and mental health issues. In 2019 Jefferson County saw record-setting numbers every month. What makes the increase especially problematic is that cases dealing with drugs and mental health issue are the hardest to reunify children with parents because of the unpredictability of these situations.
Wisconsin’s drug problem is real and affects far more than the individual who is addicted. One aspect of this that doesn’t get talked about much is that children in particular are considerably less likely to develop addictions of any kind if they are brought up in the homes of their married dads and moms. Intact families can go a long ways to reducing the number of children in foster care.

Respect Women Act Does Not Respect Women
State Representative Chris Taylor (D-Madison, photo left), formerly the lobbyist for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, is calling for the legislature to pass what she calls the Respect Women Act. In an op ed published last week in the Cap times, Taylor lauds Governor Evers for vetoing pro-life legislation that the legislature has passed this session. The bill she is pushing would essentially undo all restrictions on abortion in Wisconsin, including the 24-hour waiting period, requiring an ultrasound, and the current ban on abortions after 20 weeks.
Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "Wisconsin’s abortion numbers sadly ticked up a bit this year, but imagine what those numbers would be without the restrictions we currently have. Elections really do have consequences. Planned Parenthood has included Wisconsin in its targeted states for this election cycle. They are spending millions to try to flip conservative state legislatures to liberal, pro-abortion legislatures."
