Dear Friend,
Our annual St. Patrick's Day Fete has always been a great way for hundreds of Democrats to come together to celebrate and rally behind our shared progressive values.
Out of an abundance of caution to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the region we are postponing the 3/17 St. Patrick's Day Fete until May.
We are currently working with NVCC to secure a new date and will announce that date as soon as possible. Of course previously ordered tickets will be honored at the May event.
While we're saddened to have to postpone our festivities, the health and safety of not only our attendees, but the general public, comes first. Many colleges including NVCC where the event is held have cancelled classes, large events, and switched to remote classes for the rest of the school year. By taking precautionary steps and spreading awareness of best practices, we can hopefully minimize the danger that this virus poses to our communities.
Again, I thank you for your support and I urge you to take steps to minimize the risks of being exposed to this dangerous virus. My colleagues and I are working to make sure the federal government is doing everything it can to prevent the spread of this disease and keep the public updated as the situation develops.
Yours in service,
Gerald E. Connolly
