This week, I filed for Reelection. Ballots for the primary go out in two months. And today, the last day of the month, is a deadline of the utmost importance for our chances of success.
If you only have a moment, I would be so grateful for your help with
an end-of-month donation at this link. But if you have a few minutes, I wanted to provide a little more context.
Our opponent, who spent 5 years working for Gavin Newsom, began her campaign by declaring “Kevin Kiley is a problem.” Unfortunately, and I tell you this confidentially, she may soon have reason to celebrate. Because the House completely changed its calendar and was in session for 10 straight weeks, I had to cancel all the fundraising activities that are necessary for a successful reelection.
We thus head into December with a gaping hole. We are at dire risk of a financial report that will be a dream come true for the Newsom-Morse operation. And we know, without the slightest doubt, that they will seize on any sign of weakness to mobilize the vast funding networks of the far-left.
The only way to prevent this is with your generous support: with an inspired end-of-month show of strength. Your support is the one thing that can restore our campaign to a position of strength.
You can make a restorative and empowering citizen donation at this link.
So far, Morse’s campaign is a Newsom promotion tour. When I posted the 10
Questions for tonight’s debate (where I’ll be live fact-checking Newsom), she lashed out in fury, offended that anyone would besmirch the Governor. When I successfully passed an Amendment in the House to stop child mask mandates, she voiced fierce opposition.
Morse, of course, was by Newsom’s side throughout the COVID debacle. She even criticized “protests around masks and vaccines” as an “American insurgency.” In this race, Newsom is aiming for the ultimate triumph: replacing his leading critic in Congress with his most loyal ally.
You can help make sure that doesn’t happen with an end-of-month contribution today.
Our path to reelection was never going to be easy, given that we were the decisive race that fired Nancy Pelosi last year. But admittedly, there are things I could have done to make the path smoother.
I could have left Newsom alone, let him keep destroying our state without a fight. I could have given a pass to the Biden Cabinet Secretaries who came before my committees, letting them come and go without any accountability. I could have stuck to nice-sounding talking points instead of fighting for actual results.
If we’d chosen this path of comfort, of safety, of not ruffling feathers, the knives wouldn’t be coming out for us in the same way. But what’s the point of that? We went to Washington with a
mission. These headlines summarize the approach we have taken:
- Gov. Newsom’s biggest critic might be this California Congressman. Freshman Republican Kevin Kiley spreads his warning in Washington (Roll Call)
- Rep. Kevin Kiley warns against the Californ-ication of America (Washington Examiner)
- New California congressman Kevin Kiley is using his position to expose Gavin Newsom (Sac Bee)
- Rep. Kevin Kiley emerges as California’s champion for freedom as Democrat delirium takes hold of D.C. (RSB)
- Congressman Kevin Kiley Leads the Fight Against Biden's Labor Nominee Julie Su (Red State)
The reason I’m able to lead these fights is because I know I’m not alone. You have been with me every step of the way, and I can’t tell you how much that means to me.
If you can be with me today, and
help our campaign get out of the hole we are in with an end-of-month donation, I would be grateful beyond measure.
I am sometimes asked why I sign Thank You Notes by hand. Most Members of Congress either use a stamp or don’t look at them at all, because citizens aren’t the main source of their funding. But for me, it is a ritual of the highest importance.
When I see your name, and what you have sacrificed for our cause, it is truly motivating and uplifting. It reminds me that I’m not fighting alone, far from it. It reminds me that this is a movement of citizens and patriots who believe our state and country are worth fighting for.
This is why your support is such powerful armor, allowing me to absorb and repel the slings and arrows that come our way. Today, I need that armor in a major way.
I’d be honored and grateful for whatever help you can provide for today’s deadline.
Thank you,
Kevin
