Giving Tuesday is over, but the spirit of giving continues. “We, the
Dream” is our call to action in 2024 – a challenge to build a nation of
freedom and dignity for all. Today, we are supporting minority
entrepreneurs tackling big problems, fighting to upgrade the grid for our
clean-energy future, and helping keep people on home confinement in the
dignity of their homes.
In 2024, we want to do even more – and it is not too late to get the year
off to a strong start by checking out our Giving Tuesday Gift Catalog or
making a one-time donation.

More than 3,000 non-violent individuals, currently on home confinement,
are at risk of being returned to federal prison if we don’t act. Despite
home confinement’s 0.02% re-offense rate — compared to 43% for federal
prison — and their success reintegrating to society, Senate Joint
Resolution 47 would put people back behind bars. Why disrupt lives and
families when these individuals have proven their readiness for a new
life? Keep them home: Please [ [link removed] ]sign our petition and tell President
Biden to veto SJ Resolution 47 if it hits his desk.

America’s power grid is outdated, and high energy costs and blackouts are
the result. Worse, it is holding back our clean-energy future – the grid
is ill-equipped to handle renewable energy and the rapid expansion
required to meet our future energy needs. Change is long overdue:
lawmakers must upgrade our grid. Modernizing and expanding transmission
lines ensures reliability, cuts costs, and paves the way for clean energy.
Delay is no longer an option.

[ [link removed] ]Dream TECH
Minority entrepreneurs need help to scale their cutting-edge ideas. That
is why, earlier this year, Dream.Org and Village Capital launched the
Dream Climate Tech Launchpad – backed by the Salesforce Foundation, San
Francisco 49ers, and Wells Fargo. Today, we want to introduce you to
2023’s deserving prize recipients: [ [link removed] ]Waju Water and [ [link removed] ]Frontline Gig.
These two green businesses, which will receive $25,000 each, are
innovating a path forward for communities hit hardest by climate change.
Our support for these entrepreneurs is unwavering and we look forward to
watching their businesses thriving!
