You’ve been hearing from my team and Senator John Fetterman about the importance of our upcoming end-of-month fundraising deadline – but now I want you to hear directly from me.

I’m not a career politician. I never thought about running until I was at the grocery store and overheard a family that couldn't afford some groceries. I wanted to make a positive impact for those in my community so I ran for Congress in 2016 to serve those who needed it most.

And right now, I need you. Together, we can ensure more Black voices are represented in the Senate. Will you rush a donation of $25 or any amount towards our end-of-month goal tonight at midnight?

I didn’t get to Congress by myself – it requires a team and resources. I’m used to overcoming barriers as a Black woman in politics, but the stakes are even higher now that Republicans are all but guaranteed to pick up one Democratic-held seat in West Virginia.

Republicans only need to flip one seat after that to secure a Senate majority. That makes Delaware’s Senate seat absolutely essential to maintaining our Democratic majority, and I’m truly relying on everyday people like you to help me defend it.
