Bridging gaps in health: Medicaid&rsquo;s role in cervical cancer screening in AIAN women
Danielle R. Gartner, Jessica Y. Islam, and Claire E. Margerison bring to light the impact of Medicaid expansions on cervical cancer screening among American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) women. Despite broader health coverage, the study underscores the unchanged screening rates, calling for targeted strategies to tackle cervical cancer in AIAN communities.

Evaluating the impact of Nebraska&rsquo;s Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA)
Explore the groundbreaking, collaborative study by P4A researchers at the Nebraska Indian Child Welfare Coalition, Nebraska Appleseed, and the University of Oklahoma, which is the first to analyze the impact of Nebraska’s ICWA beyond the county level. This research will provide critical insight into the effectiveness of ICWA policy and practice changes and produce replicable evaluation strategies for other states and the federal government.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation will award up to $4 million in grants through the Evidence for Action program to support research driven by Indigenous communities focused on advancing &ldquo;upstream&rdquo; solutions to promote health equity and well-being for Indigenous peoples.
