Comments at Oakland City Council Meeting Echo Holocaust Denialism

New York Post: Oakland’s city council is under fire after it unanimously passed a resolution this week calling for a permanent cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war — while spurning language that would have condemned the terrorist group for the Oct. 7 massacre following an uproar from anti-Israel protesters. Councilman Dan Kalb’s amendment spotlighting Hamas’ role in the slaughter of an estimated 1,200 people across southern Israel was rejected 6-2 Monday night, and the proposal was met with jeers from demonstrators — with some going as far as to spread conspiracy theories that the Israel Defense Forces had slaughtered Jews to justify an invasion of Gaza (New York Post). Collin Rugg: Radical Oakland, California residents spend six hours defending terror group Hamas, blasting Israel and sharing conspiracy theories at a city council meeting. Wokeness eats away at the brain. One mask-wearing resident went as far to say that calling Hamas a ‘terrorist’ organization is “ridiculous, racist and plays into genocidal propaganda” (X). Fox News: Another speaker called those who support the condemnation of Hamas “old White supremacists” while another said calling Hamas a terrorist group was “racist” and plays into “genocidal propaganda.” Many of the pro-Palestinian speakers accused Israel of colonizing the Palestinian territories and creating an apartheid system that oppresses Palestinians (Fox News).

Hamas Kept Female Hostages in Cages

Jerusalem Post: Women who were abducted from Israeli territory and held hostage by Hamas in Gaza were kept in cages, according to a report by Israeli media, citing a statement from a member of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum. This claim is not the first of its kind: In the days immediately following the October 7 attacks, videos from Hamas’s Telegram channel showed child hostages being kept in cages for the majority of their time in captivity (Jerusalem Post). Jonathan Schanzer: Still in Hamas custody: 146 Israelis and 15 other nationals. 126 are men. 35 are female (X).

Forbes Names Dylan Mulvaney of Bud Light Fiasco to “30 Under 30” List

What did Mulvaney do to deserve this? From wrecking the reputation of a top beer brand to putting several people out of work (including actual women), I am not so sure why this award is given. Fox News: Forbes Magazine recently placed controversial trans woman and LGBTQ social media activist Dylan Mulvaney on its “30 Under 30 Social Media” list for being one of the most influential young social media influencers in the world. The business magazine honored the former Bud Light spokesperson among 29 other social media personalities who have shaped the “creator economy,” which it noted is a “$250 billion industry estimated to roughly double over the next five years.” Mulvaney has been a prominent social media fixture this year as the influencer has used the medium to document her gender transition and struggles dealing with the backlash that resulted from Bud Light making her one of its spokespeople last spring (Fox News).

Biden Announces Student Debt Forgiveness for Over 800,000 People

Business Insider: On Tuesday, the White House announced that about 813,000 borrowers whose accounts were adjusted in August will receive an email from Biden congratulating them on their loans being forgiven due to the Education Department’s one-time account adjustment to evaluate which borrowers have met the qualifying payment threshold on their repayment plan. A White House official said that the ongoing relief for borrowers comes on the heels of many not getting proper credit toward payments made on income-driven repayment plans intended to allow borrowers to make payments based on their income with the promise of forgiveness after 20 or 25 years (Business Insider). Axios: Biden’s administration has forgiven $127 billion in student loan debt for nearly 3.6 million borrowers to date (Axios).

Biden Has Air Marshalls Following Everyone Who Flew to D.C. on Jan 6

American Military News: President Joe Biden’s administration is reportedly tracking anyone who traveled to the D.C. region on January 6, 2021, even if the individuals were not present at the storming of Capitol Hill. According to the director of the Air Marshal National Council, Sonya LaBosco, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has a special mission for air marshals to track individuals who traveled to the D.C. region on the day of the Jan. 6 protest. LaBosco warned that TSA air marshals are “not flying right now.” She claimed that the only missions air marshals are currently conducting are missions on the border with illegal immigrants or “following the January 2021 people” (American Military News). Collin Rugg: The Biden administration is tracking *everyone* who traveled to the D.C. region on January 6, 2021 even if they had nothing to do with the Capitol riot (X). HotAir: This goes beyond the insanity of classifying everybody who went to the January 6th protests as a potential terrorist. We are talking about Air Marshals monitoring anybody who visited DC for any reason (HotAir). Daily Wire: The finding comes amidst the revelation that the FBI let an apparent child rapist go free to pursue January 6 cases. Five days after the January 6, 2021, protest at the Capitol, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and then-Rep. John Katko (R-NY) wrote to the head of the TSA, David Pekoske, to demand that the agency “disrupt the travel of terrorists who just attacked the seat of the U.S. government,” citing “online chatter” as evidence that they might be al-Qaeda-style bombers (Daily Wire).

Dearborn, Michigan Plays Host to Radical Pro-Hamas Rally

Memri: Imam Usama Abdulghani spoke at the “Al-Aqsa Flood” protest at the Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, Michigan on October 14, 2023, saying: “We are lucky to be alive in the era of Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.” He continued to say that October 7 was a “day of God,” a “miracle come true,” and he acknowledge IRGC Qods Force commander General Qassem Soleimani. Abdulghani said that the “lions” are defending not only Palestine, but the nation of Muhmmad the Messenger. He added that the “honorable soldiers” of Palestine have chosen the only path to victory. Abdulghani asked: “How dare you compare Hamas to ISIS?” He added that Israel is worse than ISIS. Addressing the “friends of the Zionist occupiers,” he said they should advise their friends that “the jig is up,” that Israel is over, “the Titanic is sinking” (Memri). Canary Mission: “Hamas is not a terrorist organization!” Four 4 days after Hamas’ massacre of 1,400 Israelis, Palestinian influencer Amer Zahr hosted this pro-Hamas rally at Dearborn, Michigan, where hundreds cheered openly celebrating the horrific murder, rape, torture & kidnapping of Jews (X). Reporter Joel Griffith: Yet another pro-Hamas rally in Dearborn, Michigan, with genocidal chanting. Our FBI certainly has its priorities straight focusing on traditional parents attending school board meetings (X).

Thousands of Car Dealerships Urge Biden to Slow Down EV Mandate

Daily Wire: Thousands of American auto dealers are pushing President Joe Biden to scrap his electric vehicle mandate because consumers are not warming up to buying EVs for various reasons. The group of 3,700 dealerships, which collectively sell every major brand of automakers in the U.S., said in a letter to Biden that his push to make two out of every three new cars sold by 2032 to be electric was highly unrealistic. While there were good options for people wishing to buy electric vehicles, “the reality, however, is that electric vehicle demand today is not keeping up with the large influx of BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicle) arriving at our dealerships prompted by the current regulations. BEVs are stacking up on our lots” (Daily Wire). Conservative War Machine: Dana Perino and Bryan Llenas report on car dealerships across the US calling on Biden to stop his administration’s electric vehicle mandates: “Mr. President, it is time to tap the brakes on the unrealistic government electric vehicle mandate” (X).

United States’ Suicide Rate Reached New High in 2022

ABC: The number of suicides in the United States has hit a record high, new provisional federal data shows. In 2022, an estimated 49,449 people died by suicide, which is 3% higher than the 48,183 people who died in 2021, according to a report published early Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics. The suicide rate increased by 1% in 2022 to 14.3 deaths per 100,000 from 14.1 per 100,000 in 2021, marking this as the highest rate seen since 1941 (ABC). Fox News: By gender, men saw 23.1 suicides per 100,000 population, while women saw 5.9 suicides per 100,000. A shocking survey in October found that 36% of young adults ages 18-34 stated that they had contemplated suicide at some point over the past year (Fox News).

Canadian Human Rights Commission Claims Celebrating Christmas, Easter is Akin to “Religious Intolerance”

Christian Post: A Canadian government panel in charge of human rights law says celebrating Christmas and Easter holidays could be seen as a form of “religious intolerance.” In a paper released last month, the Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC) cited Christianity’s two biggest holy days as examples of “present-day systemic religious discrimination” because they are statutory holidays in Canada. According to the “Discussion Paper on Religious Intolerance” paper published on Oct. 23, “discrimination against religious minorities in Canada is grounded in Canada’s history of colonialism,” which, the paper states, finds its most “obvious example” in Canadian statutory holidays “related to Christianity.” Because Christmas and Easter are the only Canadian statutory holidays linked to religious holy days, the report argues that “as a result, non-Christians may need to request special accommodations to observe their holy days and other times of the year where their religion requires them to abstain from work” (Christian Post).

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger Passes Away at 100 Years Old

CNBC: Henry Kissinger, the Holocaust survivor and Harvard professor who became a towering U.S. diplomat, master political manipulator and pop culture icon — loved by admirers and loathed by detractors — has died. He was 100. As President Richard Nixon’s top foreign policy aide, Kissinger helped set out the nation’s grand international strategy of extricating itself from an unpopular war and plotting its relations with two rival communist powers. Kissinger negotiated America’s exit from the disastrous Vietnam War, sharing the 1973 Nobel Peace Prize with North Vietnam’s Le Duc Tho for a cease-fire agreement that year. Kissinger also crafted the détente policy that thawed the Cold War with the Soviet Union, and he played a pivotal role in breaking down the diplomatic great wall that surrounded Communist China for 2½ decades. Through his shuttle diplomacy, he wrung out agreements between Israel and Egypt and Syria in the wake of the Arab countries’ surprise launch of the 1973 Yom Kippur War (CNBC).
