The Knox-Waldo Counties Local Working Group (LWG) will meet Dec. 4, 1-4 pm at Camden Town Hall.?
From?1-2 pm, there will be an informational pre-session, followed by the formal LWG discussion from 2-4 pm.?
Local Working Groups are hosted by county Soil & Water Conservation Districts annually. Their purpose is to provide locally-based recommendations to the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) on how to spend USDA Farm Bill funds to support agricultural and forestry conservation activities by private landowners. Farmers, woodland owners, foresters, loggers, conservation groups, and others interested in natural resource conservation are encouraged to attend. The group will help identify and prioritize local conservation concerns and make recommendations regarding USDA?s Environmental Quality Incentive (EQIP) Program.?
