PLANTATION, FL - The Broward Democratic Party postpones the 4th Annual Obama Roosevelt Legacy Dinner:

 

The Broward Democratic Party announced today that they will postpone the Obama Roosevelt Legacy Dinner. The annual fundraising dinner was scheduled to be held on Saturday March 14th, 2020.


"In light of reports and guidance that larger gatherings could place vulnerable populations at risk for infection from the novel coronavirus, our organization concluded that we should postpone our event out of an abundance of caution. We are working to reschedule the event for later this year," said Chair Cynthia Busch.

The Broward Democratic Party urges all members of the community to take this situation seriously but not to panic, and to follow all public health recommendations. Community members should continue to vote as planned and follow local public health advisories as they arise. The Florida Department of Health in Broward is advising Broward residents who are concerned that they have been exposed to COVID-19 to call 954-412-7300 before traveling to any health care facility.
