John, we’re coming to you at a tough time.

We’ve spent down our resources pretty considerably these last few months. Organizing, advertising, and supporting candidates around the country doesn't come cheap. But we’re happy to make these investments — they’re what we need to do to win.

But the truth is, we haven’t raised as much as we anticipated this month. We’re not sure if it’s because we just came off some wins in Virginia and folks feel like things are looking good. We’re not sure if it’s the holidays and everybody’s checked out. We’re just not sure.

What we do know is that we’re about to go into one of the toughest election cycles any of us have ever seen. Trump will be on a warpath, supported by millions of MAGA supporters. His candidates in the GOP are going to run scorched-earth campaigns across the country. And the polls lately show it — this thing is going to be close.

If we don’t do everything we can over the next year, it could mean another 4 years of Trump. That’s extremely frightening, and we’re sorry to put that thought in your head. But it’s true.
