Jim Jordan voted NO on the Violence Against Women Act. View in browser

John,

Last week, I had an insightful conversation on my podcast with some of the wrestlers who survived terrifying abuse at Ohio State University. Some of the men were coached by my opponent, Jim Jordan, who did nothing to stop the abuse despite being in a position to do so.

This week I had a conversation with a police detective on my podcast who told the horrifying and tragic story about his daughter, who was kidnapped, raped, and murdered. During the conversation, I was angered to learn that Jim Jordan voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)—a bill that punishes the perpetrators of heinous crimes against women and provides stronger protections for victims of domestic violence.

We talk a lot about Jordan’s role in helping plan Donald Trump’s illegal attempt to stay in power after losing the 2020 election, and about how he failed the athletes at OSU he was supposed to mentor and protect.

But there is just so much about his record—like his consistent votes against women. He actually voted NO on the Violence Against Women Act! Who does that? A monster, that's who. It just goes to show how unfit he is to hold public office and how utterly despicable he is as a person. At his core, Jim Jordan only cares about one thing: himself.

Enough is enough. We don’t have to accept having selfish, power-hungry people like Jordan in Congress. We can do so much better, and accomplish so much more, if we work together.

I am ready to lead and to defeat Jim Jordan this election. But we need to keep up our grassroots fundraising pace—and that’s why I need you with me. Will you please stand with me and with everyone fighting for a better future and help fuel this campaign to take down Jim Jordan with a contribution of $25 or whatever you can do?
