Couldn't make it to MMMC but want to learn more about how RGers are moving money in this moment? I'm hosting a casual, anonymized redux of the MMMC Money Survey. Strong encouragement to bring a RG lurker or potential member with you, and/or invite a friend or relative who's curious about our work and how to support it. The money survey is a key tool RG uses at our annual national conference to lift a mirror onto our in-person microcosm of resource mobilization; we know what's happening in our base is reflective of larger trends. In this report back, I'll also share some topline takeaways from MMMC in general, speak to how the conference impacted attendees' 2023 redistribution pledges, and invite you to support RG's work.
I'll be facilitating with Rachel Gelman who's been doing lots of amazing donor organizing and resource mobilization support with RG members for the last year and a halfish. Yahya, RG's Executive Director, is also supporting.
Transformative Fundraising Training

RG's next Transformative Fundraising for dues-paying members will be on zoom. In this training, members will build skills to fundraise for the equitable distribution of land, wealth and power. This training also incorporates RG's Transformative Investment Principles. There will be time for live fundraising of each other in pairs. No prior experience is necessary. You are strongly encouraged to RSVP with a buddy.
In this training, you'll learn:
How to clearly identify someone's self-interest in moving $ and how to connect that self-interest to a collective vision
How to make integrated asks that include: divestment from Wall St, overall redistribution, RG membership, and local partner orgs
How to organize your RG peers to sign the Redistribution Pledge
I'll be facilitating alongside Jerrod MacFarlane of the RG board.
