Defender,

Over a million gallons of oil just leaked into the Gulf of Mexico – this
disaster could push the already critically endangered Rice’s whale closer to the
brink of extinction.

These whales were decimated by the oil and gas industry during the Deepwater
Horizon spill in 2010, which killed so many of these amazing creatures. Now, there are only about 50 Rice’s whales left on the planet, and they’re fighting to survive.

Don’t let oil companies drive Rice’s whales to extinction: Pitch in to help save
animals from extinction, while your gift still goes 4X as far!

These deadly oil spills underscore the need for these whales to have protected habitat immediately . We’re calling for a finalized critical habitat designation to save them from
being destroyed by threats like Big Oil, and we need your help!

Our Giving Tuesday 4x Match has been extended to defend even more animals like
Rice’s whales. For a limited time, your generosity will still have 4X the impact for
threatened and endangered wildlife – please pitch in to help save these whales!

QUADRUPLE YOUR IMPACT FOR ENDANGERED ANIMALS!

Defender, these animals are counting on us. I hope you’ll
join us in standing up for all the wildlife that need us in this moment.

Sincerely,

Defenders of Wildlife
