I’ve known Julie for as long as I’ve been campaigning for Democrats across Texas. In 2018, she made history when she flipped her current seat in the Texas House of Representatives and became the first openly gay married woman to serve in the Texas Legislature.
In the five years since then, she has led the fight against Texas Republicans’ anti-LGBTQ+ attacks and has passed key legislation to expand healthcare access, defend workers, make higher education more affordable, strengthen consumer protections, and more.
Now it’s time to send Julie to Congress, where she will fight to restore abortion rights, strengthen our gun laws, reduce the cost of prescription drugs, and stand up to Republicans trying to undermine our democracy.
