Lisa McLean is a native Floridian who has served the communities of Hillsborough County for over 40 years. Her initial calling of being a trial lawyer led to her a successful list of public service roles which included as a felony trial lawyer for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office, Division Chief of the Public Defender's Office, Bureau Chief of the Office of Statewide Prosecution, and in private practice as an associate with the Escobar Law Firm. Lisa’s extensive experience gives her a unique perspective on the criminal justice system and enables her to work across the aisle in the pursuit of equal justice for all.
Melissa Vickers has practiced law for over 25 years and has been board-certified by the Florida Bar in Criminal Defense Law since 2006. Her passion for representing those who could not afford their own attorney began when she worked at the Public Defender's Office in Jacksonville for the 4th Circuit when she was in college. Melissa worked for the Public Defender’s Office for the 9th Circuit for 18 years. After 14 years of leadership, Melissa ventured into private practice and has since focused on injunction and personal injury cases. Melissa is a former 1st Vice President of the League of Women Voters of Orange County and is a member of the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers. If elected, Melissa would be the first female Public Defender of the 9th Judicial Circuit.
In today's political climate in Florida where women can be criminalized for making our own healthcare decisions, now is the time for us to ensure that women like Lisa and Melissa are in positions of power to provide equity and justice for all.
These incredible women need your help to further their messages and ensure they have the resources to run strong races. Click HERE to donate to Lisa’s campaign, and HERE to donate to Melissa’s campaign today!
