Time’s up for George Santos.
The evidence is crystal clear, so I just reintroduced a privileged resolution to force a vote on his expulsion from the people’s House.
It’s time to hold my colleagues accountable and demand they tell their voters and the American people where they stand.
Look, George Santos got his due process within the House. The Ethics report is damning and the result of an investigation led by members of his own party.
House Republicans have largely indicated that they now agree it’s time for him to go, but they have been slow walking this vote. So I don’t think we should take any chances.
With this resolution, I’m forcing them to go on the record within 48 hours. Every member needs to say whether they support this admitted liar and fraud, or whether they will choose accountability.
From where I stand, the choice is simple. We must come together as Congress to expel George Santos.
But this vote is about more than him. This vote is about accountability. This is a chance to send a bipartisan message that no one is above the law — that the dignity of this institution comes before the party.
I’m tired of talking about George Santos. Let’s settle this once and for all, so none of us ever have to think about him again.
