Dear friend,
Welcome to our November newsletter - reflecting on our constantly changing environment, we have renewed and updated ourfive-year strategy ([link removed]) , welcomed the Government’s announcement ([link removed]) to invest in early support hubs, and issued a response ([link removed]) to the Chancellor’s concerning Autumn statement.
In our latest podcast episode ([link removed]) , Andrew Kaye Kauffmann, our current Writer in Residence, joins Thea Joshi to discuss their personal experiences of OCD.
Andrew has also been busy helping the Centre shine a light on men’s mental health for hishttps://www.centreformentalhealth.org.uk/a-sermon-that-no-one-will-hear-the-clarion-call-to-act-urgently-on-mens-mental-health/fourth Writer in Residence piece ([link removed]) . Titled ‘A sermon that no one will hear? The clarion call to act urgently on men’s mental health’, Andrew offers an insightful dissection on the complexities of men’s mental health in the UK.
Thanks so much for staying up to date on our work toward improving mental health for all.
We are dedicated to eradicating mental health inequalities and fighting injustice, but we can’t do it without your support. If you can, please help us continue our work by donating ([link removed]) . The work we do builds evidence of how to support better mental health, and drives forward real and sustainable policy change.

Strategy update
Earlier in the month we published an update to our current five-year strategy. Published in 2021, we’ve reviewed the progress made and reflected on the changing environment around us. As a result we’re delighted to share this update to our strategy that will guide our work over the next two years.
The renewed strategy sets out our current ambitions as a charity, which include:
* Securing a whole government long-term approach to mental health
* Addressing the unequal determinants of mental health
* Enabling every child and young person to have a mentally healthy start in life
* Ensuring everyone gets equitable and timely support
* Addressing inequalities in specific communities which have been previously overlooked

Strategy asset: Our Ambitions: To secure a whole government long-term approach to protecting and promoting mental health for all, including housing social security, health, business, justice, defence and the environment. To address, the unequal social and economic determinants of mental health including poverty, racism, discrimination and exclusion, fostering action locally and nationally, including from statutory bodies, civil society and businesses.
