Lt. Gov. Crouch comments on IN General Assembly adjourning
INDIANAPOLIS (March 12) ??Upon adjournment of the Indiana General Assembly, Lt. Governor Crouch offered the following statement.
"Throughout my 15 years in the legislature, I continue to be impressed by the spirit of collaboration and cooperation shown by the General Assembly. The Governor and I could not have better partners than this group of legislators who have chosen to serve their local communities and our state.
"With this in mind, our administration has worked to pass a number of bills that will continue to take our state to the Next Level.
- Created safer roads for Hoosiers and visitors by passing?legislation that requires hands-free driving.
- Encouraged adults with disabilities to be lifelong learners by creating a path for them to pursue their educational goals.
- Helped the agricultural community gain access to more affordable healthcare options.?
- Supported our teachers by holding them harmless from ILEARN testing results.
- Increased transparency in healthcare costs for Hoosier patients.?
- Combated teen vaping and underage access to tobacco products by raising the age from 18 to 21.?
"As this session concludes, we are also saying farewell to a number of legislators in both the House and the Senate, including Speaker Brian Bosma. I want to thank them all for their many years of public service and dedication to our great state. Their leadership has helped build a better tomorrow for all that call Indiana home and has inspired the next generation of Hoosiers to serve."
