We’re at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history.

At this very moment, extremist so-called leaders are attacking hard-won freedoms and basic fundamental rights. The freedom to be, the freedom to teach our full history, the freedom to love, the freedom to make decisions about your own body and to live your best life -- are all under attack.

The leader of the Republican Party is referring to fellow Americans as “vermin” -- echoing the language heard in Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

So, let me be clear: This election is going to be fundamentally about who we are as a nation and what we stand for. We have to double down on our efforts to win.
