Hi—

Writing with some big news today. Inspired by the outpouring of support we received on Giving Tuesday, our matching donors have EXTENDED the triple match! That means you still have a chance to triple your impact for farm animals—but only until midnight tonight.

Today only, your gift goes three times as far to help protect chickens, cows, and pigs from the cruelest atrocities on factory farms. Will you make a gift of any size?

$10 becomes $30. $50 becomes $150. And it costs us just $2.63 to protect one hen from life in a battery cage—so your compassionate gift today could change dozens of lives.

This community has truly gone above and beyond this year. Will you take advantage of this special opportunity for animals?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!!

Kalista ❤️

P.S. Here’s what we’re planning for animals in 2024—and your gift will help make it happen.

I know it’s hard to think about millions of chicks who are born into a life of suffering on factory farms. But today, on this day of giving, I hope you’ll join me in thinking about them.

Trapped in tiny “battery cages,” their little feet will never know soft grass; only painfully sharp wire. They’ll never breathe fresh air; only the thick stench of dust and ammonia. Because of the factory farming industry, millions of chicks are born into a life where they can’t even stretch their wings.

But you know what? Because of you—because of us—millions of chicks are now born into a life where they can.

You and I both know that chickens, cows, and pigs deserve so much better than the horrors of factory farms. And battery cages are one of the cruelest inventions ever inflicted upon animals.

Ten years ago, only 6% of hens were spared from these archaic cages. Today, that number has skyrocketed to 39%—all because this community has successfully pressured some of the world’s biggest corporations to end the abuse.

We won't stop until every hen can stretch her wings. And that means thinking big. So we’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $50,000 for hens, today alone. Your gift will directly fuel this fight to eliminate cruel cages from the face of the planet.

It takes just $2.63 to protect a chick from life in a cage. Will you make a gift before this triple match ends at midnight?

Some things are simply wrong. And confining animals to tiny, miserable cages is one of them. Together, I know we can end battery cages for good. And by doing it, we can prove that it's possible to enact sweeping, compassionate change in our food system.

This isn’t just the end of cages—it’s the beginning of a new era for animals. Are you with us?

Toward a kinder future for all beings,

Alison Hansen-Decelles
Director of Annual Giving

P.S. Learn more about how you can change a life for $2.63 on our blog. And if you’re able, please consider making a gift today—before this special triple match opportunity is up!
