GOP suffers epic humiliation after rejecting Hunter Biden's offer to testify
In a development that seemed impossible Republicans’ Hunter Biden dog and pony show reached new levels of self-degradation Tuesday after the president’s son called their bluff and offered to testify in a public hearing — an offer they rejected. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) summed it up best, writing, “What an epic humiliation for our colleagues and what a frank confession that they are simply not interested in the facts and have no confidence in their own case or the ability of their own members to pursue it.” In other words, this proves Republicans know they got nothing (including dignity) — and they never have.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump gets the news he’s been dreading in Georgia trial
There will be no plea deals for the serially indicted ex-president, his hair-dye aficionado former lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, or his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, in the Georgia RICO trial, according to bombshell reporting published Tuesday. Brian Tyler Cohen breaks down all the ramifications, including what this reveals about Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ endgame.

Republicans salivate at the thought of stealing a battleground Senate seat
Bob Casey for Senate: Stung from their humiliating defeat in 2022, McConnell and his cronies have now set their sights on defeating Bob Casey and flipping the Senate back to red. Can you chip in to help re-elect Sen. Casey and protect our critical Senate majority?
Israel, Hamas seek new deal to extend Gaza truce on final day
After a five-day pause in the killing and the freeing of dozens of innocents, a plan is in the works to extend the temporary ceasefire and free additional hostages and prisoners. In one of the most complex conflicts on earth, we should all be able to agree that this is a very good development.

Democrat forces vote to finally expel George Santos this week
Rep. Robert Garcia of California has introduced a privileged resolution Tuesday that will force a vote in the House within two legislative days to expel Tibetan yo-yo champion and acclaimed accordionist George Santos from office once and for all. The vote is expected to pass after the scathing House Ethics Committee report laid bare the extent of Santos’s corruption earlier this month, forcing many Republicans to finally accept his departure as a fait accompli. Santos seems to have acquiesced to his downfall as well, but he’s vowed go out kicking and screaming and expose his soon-to-be-former colleagues along the way. Cue the world’s smallest violin, which by chance Santos happens to have once played at Carnegie Hall.

North Korea claims new satellite is spying on White House and Pentagon
North Korea has claimed its recently launched Malligyong-1 satellite has sent back “detailed” images of the White House, the Pentagon, and US nuclear aircraft carriers, which drew immediate condemnation from Washington, DC, and raised tensions along the heavily armed inter-Korean border. Military officials in South Korea say they believe Malligyong-1 has entered orbit, but have so far been unable to tell if it is capable of taking and sending images from space.

Georgia Republicans propose new district map that again gerrymanders a GOP majority
Ordered by courts to redraw Georgia’s district maps to be less overtly racist, Republicans have naturally conjured a map that is more subtly racist with a maze of a map that pulls white Democrats into Black majority districts to maintain white supremacy. A special session on redrawing Georgia’s districts is scheduled to begin Wednesday. If the map is approved, in a country where racial gerrymandering is banned but partisan gerrymandering is mindbogglingly not, Republicans actually have a shot at finding a Trump or Bush-appointed judge who will say this is legal. But it is far from democratic.
Nikki Haley edges Desantis for coveted Koch endorsement
The South Carolina Republican and former Trump ambassador is no stranger to deals with devils, and with Ron DeSantis’s star drowning at the depths of the sea, the only surprise in seeing Nikki Haley accept the endorsement of Charles Koch’s Americans for Prosperity Action group, is that she had any soul left to sell. The right wing org said in a statement that Haley presents the best candidate to beat both Trump and Biden. Sounds less like praise than concession.
Top Trump operative hit with heinous abuse accusation
Students for Trump co-founder Ryan Fournier, 27, was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting a woman identified as his girlfriend by striking her in the forehead with a handgun, law enforcement records confirmed. Fournier founded Students for Trump in 2016 while enrolled at a Christian university in North Carolina, where as a “Christian conservative,” he organized support for the philandering rapist who still can’t name a book in the Bible even if he were given a multiple choice question. Just like Jesus wanted.
