• Mercy For Animals team members in Brazil hosted training sessions for chefs at Caruaru public schools. Once the school district's new program to reduce consumption of animal products kicks off, the district's 145 schools will serve around 2.5 million plant-based meals each school year.
• After outreach from Mercy For Animals, fast-casual U.S. restaurant chain CAVA reposted its chicken welfare policy online. Now the company has reported progress toward implementation and committed to providing annual progress updates.
• Our investigation of a pig farm made headlines in the New York Times.
