Message from Ted

Dear VCC Community,

I just came across this quote by Thomas Sowell - “The most basic question
is not what is best, but who shall decide what is best.” I suggest
Sowell’s quote succinctly describes the battle we are in. We are in the
process of determining whether we live in a country where the individual
decides what his best for his or her life and family, or whether
governments and unelected bureaucrats, both nationally and globally get to
decide.

Canada was founded on the basis of individual rights and freedoms. This is
one of the reasons Canada had been envied world wide. However, over the
last three years every institution and safeguard that we thought was in
place to defend our individual rights and freedoms capitulated to the
tyranny of state control.

It has become evident that the responsibility to protect individual rights
and freedoms does not rest with governments, law enforcement, or the courts
as we have been lead to believe. This is one of the many lies we have been
told. Rather, the responsibility to protect our rights and freedoms also
belongs to us - the people. _David Icke states: “Fascism is not imposed
by fascists – there are never enough of them. Fascism is imposed by the
population acquiescing to fascism.”_

The reality is that these psychopaths are not as powerful as we may think.
Their insatiable desire for control is not a sign of their omnipotence, but
rather their insecurity. They know, better than us, that when we stop being
afraid and stop complying with their dictates, their hold on us is over.
The result is that their reign of terror will come to an abrupt end.

These last few years are a wake up call for those of us that value freedom
and want to ensure that our children and grandchildren experience the
freedoms we experienced. This is a war between good and evil. This is a war
that cannot be avoided. This is our war of independence. And our most
powerful weapon is to simply not comply with anything and undermines the
rights and freedoms of self and others. Now is the time to stand up and
stand free. Without freedom, nothing else matters.

Peace Begins With Me

Feeding the Positive Wolf 

I’ve discovered it is possible to think and act in new ways. It is
possible to change the direction I’m headed. It is possible to increase
my experience of peace, joy, and happiness. It is possible to feed the
positive wolf.

Being peaceful, joyful, and happy does not depend on being good enough,
smart enough, or deserving enough, nor does it require unique or special
circumstances. The ability to experience these states simply has to do with
knowing how. I believe our society does a poor job in educating people how
to be in a state of peace, joy or happiness. Many of our cultural
institutions are better at teaching fear than trust, more accomplished in
promoting judgment than acceptance, and in encouraging negative thoughts
instead of positive thoughts. This is why I contend most people
simply don’t know how to be happy, peaceful, and joyful.

One of my core beliefs is every person does the best they can with what
they know and have. I use the analogy of a toolbox when describing this
idea. I call the different skills and knowledge, tools, and the combined
wisdom and learnings gained over a lifetime become one’s toolbox. In
reality we are born with an empty toolbox. Some individuals are fortunate
to have wise teachers and rich life experiences, which contribute to the
adding of tools to their toolbox. Others are less fortunate, and their
toolbox remains largely empty.

I believe the inability to achieve peace, joy, and happiness is due to a
lack of tools. Therefore, this book describes the tools which I discovered
point me in the direction of peace, joy, and happiness.
