Today, we’re taking a look at how Reichert compares to the new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t look good for Reichert!
According to ABC News’ FiveThirtyEight, Reichert aligned with Donald Trump’s position on 92.5% of the votes he cast in Congress.

That’s the same percentage as Mike Johnson, who voted in line with Trump’s position 92.8% of the time.
The New York Times called Speaker Johnson:
- An “archconservative”
- A “natural heir” to the Tea Party movement and Trumpism
- A “key architect” of Republican efforts to overturn the 2020 election
