During this season of gratitude, all of us at OLCV are so grateful for your support. We are a small team, but with the help of grassroots supporters like you (and our partners), we are able to accomplish so much.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, a generous donor has offered to match all donations to OLCV. This doesn’t happen often, and it’s one of the best days of the year to donate and have twice the impact.

With your help and that of thousands of other grassroots supporters, we’ve accomplished a lot this year.

✔ We passed the comprehensive Climate Resiliency Package, which provides $90 million in funding for more than a dozen climate bills, and unlocks $1 billion or more in federal funding created by the Inflation Reduction Act.

✔ We protected children from toxic chemicals by updating the Toxic Free Kids Act; and better protected all Oregonians from toxic chemicals in personal care products by passing the Toxic Free Cosmetics Act.

✔ We addressed waste by passing a Polystyrene Foam Ban, which will protect Oregonians from cancer-causing PFAS or “forever chemicals,” and Legalizing Reusables, which allows people to use their own containers for take-out and grocery bulk bins.

✔ We stopped every Major Threat bill that was introduced, preventing rollbacks to climate protections and threats to our land use system.

✔ We rallied thousands of Oregonians to support a climate-smart Farm Bill and protect Oregon’s majestic Owyhee Canyonlands.

We should all be proud of all that we’ve accomplished together this year, but we’ve still got a lot of work cut out for us in 2024. There are important bills to pass during the short legislative session, and a critical election that will decide the future of our state.
