We've been busy. After qualifying for the general election last Tuesday, we're back at work.

Several new staffers have joined Team Shahid, to help us with communications, fundraising, and field strategy.

We've also been present at several community events.

Last Thursday, we joined the San Francisco Berniecrats for the introduction of the local Green New Deal for Public Housing. I'm committed to advancing this measure, introduced by Representative Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Sanders, in Congress.

On Monday, we attended a rally to make clear that ICE is not welcome in San Francisco. Tragically, ICE unlawfully arrested Albert Uc Ponce outside a city courthouse last week. I'm committed to stand with the community until we win Ponce's release from detention and ending these inhumane practices entirely by abolishing ICE in Congress.
